Four will square-off for WiSys Quick Pitch, Thursday, April 6

Four UW-Green Bay students will compete for the first-ever WiSys Quick Pitch competition, beginning at 9:45 a.m. Thursday, April 6, 2017 in the 1965 Room, University Union. The competitors:
-Marla Cherney, Public and Environmental Affairs, “A Policy Analysis of the Gray Wolf Species in Wisconsin”
-Maria Otto, Biology, “Anuran habitat use in the Lower Green Bay and Fox River Area of Concern (Wisconsin)”
-Megan Powers, Psychology, “Student-Athlete Mental Health”
-Jeremiah Shrovnal, Natural & Applied Sciences, “Phosphorus Uptake Potential of Native and Invasive Plants for Consideration in Rain Gardens of the Great Lakes”

Winners of the Quick Pitch competition will receive a cash prize ($250 for first place and $125 for second place), with the first-place winner qualifying to present his or her pitch and compete in the state final at the 10th annual Wisconsin Science & Technology Symposium, July 24-25, 2017 at UW-Platteville. The panel of judges: Mathew Dornbush, Associate Vice Chancellor Academic Affairs; Anthony Werner, Vice Chancellor University Advancement and Scott Furlong, Dean of College of Arts, Humanities & Social Sciences.
