Lisa Jackovich named budget director

Julie Hendrickson submitted her resignation last week as UW-Green Bay’s budget director, effective immediately. With her departure, Interim Chancellor Sheryl Van Gruensven has named Lisa Jackovich to lead the University’s budget function.

Jackovich has worked for UW-Green Bay for more than 10 years, starting as a senior accountant in the Controller’s Office. In 2013, she advanced to the role of assistant controller. Through these roles, she has gained a broad view of finances on the campus, as well as how UW-Green Bay’s campus budget aligns with the broader System budget. Jackovich’s familiarity with the University’s financial systems and her solid relationships with UW System staff and campus divisions are great assets.

Jackovich has a strong understanding of higher education and the important role the budget director plays in consulting and advising with divisional leaders and departments to ensure budgets are thoroughly developed and adequately managed and tracked throughout the year. Jackovich will begin her role on March 11, 2020. Divisional budget staff may continue to contact Andy Bleier, budget analyst or Tracy Van Erem, university executive assistant, with questions related to the Compensation Administration Tool (CAT) and the Plan UW budget system.
