Phoenix men hit from long range to win in regular season finale

Continuing its hot shooting from beyond the arc and putting in another total team effort, Green Bay scored its most points against a Division I opponent this season, shooting past Detroit Mercy 107-97 at Calihan Hall in its regular season finale. The Phoenix (12-19, 7-11 HL) buried 14 three-pointers, two days after setting the program record with 15 at Oakland, and received three 20-plus point scoring efforts from a trio of players. The Phoenix returns to the Motor City this week for Motor City Madness — The Horizon league Championships — at Little Caesars’ Arena riding a two-game winning streak. Green Bay will be the No. 7 seed and will face No. 10 Detroit Mercy on Friday, Mar. 2 at 5:30 p.m. ET/4:30 p.m. CT at Little Caesars’ Arena in the First Round. Should Green Bay beat the Titans for the third time this year, the team will face the No. 2 seed (TBD) on Saturday at 5:30 p.m. ET/4:30 p.m. CT.
