The creators of UW-Green Bay’s Packers Project brought word of their cool fan-based digital collective to a wider audience this week, writing a “Today’s Take” column that appeared in Thursday’s (Jan. 8) Green Bay Press-Gazette. Alumna Kate Farley and students Luke Konkol and Cole Heyn penned the piece, writing about the vibrancy and uniqueness of Packer fandom and appealing to readers to submit their stories for the growing digital archive. As we told you here before, the trio worked with Associate Prof. Chuck Rybak to create the platform that allows anyone to contribute and search text, images, audio or video pertaining to the team. The idea is to create a rich and ever-growing repository of memories — a kind of living, crowd-sourced history — pertaining to the Green and Gold.
