A program that’s been on the rise in recent years now has a new leader to take them to future heights. Chris Hagerty ’03 (Communication), a longtime youth coach in various roles in the community, who has of course, spent plenty of time helping in the wrestling program was recently named to the varsity head coach position. He replaces Ben Olsen, who has taken a job out of state. Hagerty, a Buffalo, N.Y. native, came to Wisconsin to attend school at UW-Green Bay where he met his wife Shelli, an Antigo native, and the rest shall we say, is history. He spent nine years tackling the role of stay-at-home dad for their three children, before returning to the work force a few years ago.
