UW-Green Bay alumni comment on Wisconsin brain drain/gain

Why would a Phoenix fly to bigger cities and states, and another stay after graduation? According to studies, Wisconsin is experiencing a brain drain, which means that young people are leaving the state. Among those is Ben Lindberg, an alumnus, wanted to work for a large company, which limited him to Milwaukee, Chicago or Minneapolis in the Midwest. Another Phoenix alumnus, Trevor Olsen, explained that he wanted to stay in his small hometown in Wisconsin, as he got used to a small community growing up. Dylan Ringham, who left Chicago for UW-Green Bay, prefers small communities as well. She explains that it was hard to make friendly communities in a city as big as Chicago, so she enjoys the small feel of Green Bay. NBC26 has the full story.
