Dale heads for Arkansas and ‘Homer Simpson’ talk at Clinton School

UW-Green Bay Prof. Tim Dale and co-editor Joe Foy will speak this Friday afternoon (Sept. 24) at the Clinton School of Public Service at the University of Arkansas. Their “lunch and a lecture” series presentation and book signing involves their recent book, Homer Simpson Marches on Washington, which explores the influence of popular culture on the political views and values of American audiences. The book features a team of scholars who use television shows such as “Star Trek,” “The X-Files,” “All in the Family,” “The View,” “The Daily Show with Jon Stewart,” and “The Colbert Report,” as well as movies and popular music, to investigate contemporary issues in American popular culture.
