UW-Green Bay Assistant Prof. Dinesh Yadav (Theatre and Dance) has completed a three-week theatre workshop in August with 10-14 year-old children from the Green Bay area. Organized by the children’s wing of Brown County Central Library, the workshop ran from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday through Friday. Participants explored theatre tools like yoga, body-movement, acting, voice and speech and improvisation with Prof. Yadav to develop and improve self-awareness, collaboration and interpersonal skills to be sensitive to themselves and their surroundings. Nine participants worked on three stories from the book “We are Displaced” by Malala Yousufzai and presented one of the stories as their final presentation on August 23, 2019 in the auditorium of Brown County Central Library.
