Prof. Hossain receives WiSys Technology Advancement Grant

UW-Green Bay Assistant Prof.  Maruf Hossain’s (Electrical Engineering Technology) project, “Mechanically Integrated Wind Power Generation Systems,” has been selected for funding under the 2018-19 Applied Research-WiSys Technology Advancement Grant (AR-WiTAG) program. A total of $49,236 has been allocated for use in his project, which will focus to improve the efficiency of wind energy conversion systems. Hossain already applied for patent for this project and will collaborate with a local industry partner for further development. This award will also provide the research opportunities for the Engineering students in wind power generation technology.
