SBDC’s Kauth is elected to statewide economic development board


UW-Green Bay’s Ryan Kauth, director of the Small Business Development Center, has been elected for a three-term on the board of directors of the Wisconsin Economic Development Association. He was elected by the membership of WEDA, a statewide association or more than 430 member organization whose primary objective is to increase the effectiveness of economic development in Wisconsin by encouraging cooperation, exchange of information and promotion of professional skills. (WEDA is not to be confused with the federal WHEDA program or this state’s WEDC, the corporation formerly directed by Paul Jadin.) WEDA’s executive committee and new 2014 directors are listed below:

2014 Executive Committee

Patrick Schloss, Community Development Manager for the City of West Allis, is the 2014 President by the WEDA Board of Directors.
Christian Tscheschlok, Executive Director of the Washington County Economic Development Corporation, has been elected President-Elect by the WEDA Board of Directors.
Kim Kindschi, President of Manitou Associates, has been elected Treasurer by the WEDA Board of Directors. Mr Kindschi was also re-elected for a three year board term by the WEDA membership.
Carol Karls, Manager – Business & Community Development for Wisconsin Public Service Corporation, is the 2014 Past President.
Sam Perlman, Economic Development Manager of the Door County Economic Development Corporation, has been appointed board member at large on the Executive Committee by the 2014 WEDA Board of Directors.

2014 New Directors

Christine Berry, Executive Director of the Langlade County Economic Development Corp in Antigo, was elected for a three year board term by the WEDA membership.
Robert Duffy, Director of the Oconomowoc Bureau of Economic Development, has been appointed by the WEDA Board of Directors to complete the term of an open position on the board.
Ryan Kauth, Director, Small Business Development Center in Green Bay, was elected for a three year board term by the WEDA membership.
Matthew Mikolajewski, Office of Business Resources Manager of the City of Madison, was elected for a three year board term by the WEDA membership.
Edward White, Economic Development Program Manager, Southwestern Wisconsin Regional Planning Commission in Platteville, was elected for a three year board term by the WEDA membership.
Tricia Braun, Regional Development and Attraction Director of Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation in Madison, will serve as an Ex-Officio representative on the 2014 board of directors for the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation.
