Next up in NAS Seminar Series:  Draney and Panama, Oct. 19

The next presentation in the NAS Seminar Series will be Friday, Oct. 19. Prof. Michael Draney will address the topic “What I’m Trying To Do In Panama.” The social begins in Environmental Sciences Building Room 317 at 3 p.m., with Draney’s presentation at 3:30 in ES 328.  What he’s doing is developing protocols to assess rapidly dwindling biodiversity, as UW-Green Bay faculty members have been taking students to Central America for several years. “This project has provided a high-quality, hands-on tropical field research experience for nearly 50 students on four trips to Panama and one to Costa Rica, with Panama trips planned for at least the next two years,” Draney writes.
