Waters of Wisconsin to host water quality event on campus

Associate Prof. Kevin Fermanich, Prof. Emeritus Bud Harris and UW Sea Grant specialist Victoria Harris are among the invited speakers for a daylong water quality event that will be held from 9:30 a.m.-3 p.m. Tuesday, May 7 in the Union’s Phoenix Room. Our Water World: The Nutrient Challenge is a Waters of Wisconsin public forum hosted by the Wisconsin Academy with support from the Joyce Foundation. The event will explore progress, challenges and opportunities for restoring water quality in the Fox and Green Bay watersheds. Scientists, community leaders and experts in phosphorus management strategies will share their insights and perspectives on ways to move forward. The event is free, but registration is required.
