Black History Month Activities

The MLK celebration is the first in a series of Black History Month celebrations in the community. On Feb. 1 the American Intercultural Center is hosting a book reading and discussion — Courage, Community and Hope: Stella by Starlight — a well-told historical fiction book (often intended for younger audiences) about a segregated southern town and a young girl’s bravery. Stop by the AIC for a free book (while supplies last). Watch your Log for more Black History Month activities.
