TEDx-esque Phoenix Talks series is off and running

Here’s a quick and friendly reminder that UW-Green Bay’s Phoenix Talks — a take on the popular TEDx series — started Monday (Nov. 3) and will run through Thursday (Nov. 6). Each of these events will feature three engaging community leaders (most of whom are UW-Green Bay alumni) who will discuss their careers and talk about lives devoted to public service. The topic du jour for Monday was public education, and Tuesday through Thursday will feature nonprofits, environmental issues and causes; and city government and politics, respectively. Each session runs from 11 a.m. to noon in the Christie Theatre of the University Union, and each is free and open to the public.
