Fall 2019 UW-Green Bay Student Business Idea Contest

Attention faculty and staff! The Fall 2019 UW-Green Bay Student Business Idea Contest is open for new idea entries. Please pass this along to your entrepreneurial-minded students. This contest is open to all UW-Green Bay students, regardless of major or area of study, on all four UW-Green Bay campuses, with a top prize of $500 cash courtesy of WiSys and the Austin E. Cofrin School of Business. Digital Fertilizer will also be providing a reward of $100 cash.

Participants should email Ryan Kauth (KauthR@uwgb.edu) by Thursday, Oct. 10, 2019 to learn how to prepare a 90-second innovative idea video as the application to the contest. Video submissions will be due Saturday, Oct. 12 and applicants find out Sunday, Oct. 13 if they are a finalist pitching on Monday, Oct. 14 at 5 p.m. on the Green Bay Campus, University Union, Phoenix Room B.

In addition to the cash prizes, finalists are eligible for scholarships to attend the European Innovation Academy, a six credit, three-week summer travel course, and may be selected to represent UW-Green Bay at other contests for a chance to win more money, one of which is an all expenses paid trip for two to pitch at the annual Collegiate Entrepreneur’s Organization Global Conference and Pitch Competition from Oct. 31- Nov. 2 in Tampa, Florida.
