Global Studies Roundtable to tackle Scotland referendum

The first Global Studies Roundtable event of the fall semester will take place from 2 to 3 p.m. Thursday (Sept. 11) in University Union Room 103. The topic will be Scotland’s referendum later this month on independence from the U.K. Discussion will be led by moderator Caroline Boswell, an associate professor of History and chair of Humanistic Studies. Neil McGarvey, professor of Scottish Politics with the University of Strathclyde’s School of Government and Public Policy, will join the discussion via Skype. The free public event is hosted by the International Visiting Scholars Program and the UW-Green Bay academic program in Political Science.
