Live and online: University Catalogs up and running thanks to new system, efforts of many

The Registrar’s office is pleased to announce that the 2014-15 University Catalogs are now live, and can be accessed at www.uwgb.edu/catalog/. As many will know, a cross-campus team worked very hard through the 2013-14 academic year to transition the project of building and maintaining the catalogs from a tedious manual endeavor to a new software-managed process. CourseLeaf, the new system, provides much-needed automation, efficiency and web integration to the annual project of updating these critical University documents. The CourseLeaf project was co-led by Registrar Amanda Hruska and former Associate Provost Andy Kersten. Many others, including Cliff Abbott, Lucy Arendt, Betsy Bassett-Piehl, Greg Davis, Dean Defere, Laura Delikowski, Cheryl Grosso, Shannon Hartell, Barb Holschbach, Katrina Hrivnak, Holly Keener, Eileen Kolb, Bill Lepley, Cris Nelson, Donna Ritch, Marlene Strebel and Teri Ternes contributed time, ideas, feedback and expertise to the project. The CourseLeaf project enters Phase II this summer and fall with expanded functionality to manage the entire curriculum approval process — initiation of changes and approvals, integration with SIS and archiving of curriculum documents. Congratulations and gratitude to all who contributed to this very successful business automation project.
