Fundraising contest for UWGB’s Campus Kitchen

Sarah Himmelheber, assistant professor of Social Work, shares word that Friday (Feb. 20) began a week-long fundraising contest for the Campus Kitchen project at UW-Green Bay. During the fall semester, the team amassed 223 volunteer hours, recovered 587 pounds of food, and created and distributed 279 meals to community members in need. This semester, Campus Kitchen-UWGB is working with the Aging and Disability Resource Center of Brown County to expand its meal programming with older adults. They’ll be raising money via online donations and competing with other Campus Kitchen branches. The top three earning schools, as well as the school with the most individual donors, will receive additional funds from the national office. Donation levels begin at $10.
