Anderson gains promotion, new title as budget director

Richard (Dick) Anderson, UW-Green Bay’s bursar since 2001, will begin new duties Feb. 1 with his appointment to the position of university budget director. His hiring, announced today (Jan. 4) by Vice Chancellor for Business and Finance Kelly Franz, caps a national search. Anderson will have responsibilities including the preparation, review and submission of the institutional operating budget; fiscal analysis and counsel; service as a liaison to the UW System budget office; and helping to coordinate long-term planning for capital and operational budgets. Anderson is a 1979 graduate of UW-Green Bay. Prior to joining the staff here as bursar, he spent a dozen years as vice president for business and finance with NEW Curative Rehabilitation, Green Bay. He is also a veteran of the U.S. Navy, having served during the 1980s as a supply corps lieutenant, purchasing officer and materials and logistics specialist with the shipbuilding operation in Bath, Maine, among other assignments.
