Faculty, alumni to perform at upcoming UW-Green Bay vocal recital

GREEN BAY — The University of Wisconsin-Green Bay music program presents a faculty recital featuring the mezzo-soprano singing of Prof. Sarah Meredith Livingston and several returning alumni singers.

The free concert is set for 7:30 p.m. Monday, March 30, in Fort Howard Hall inside the Weidner Center for the Performing Arts on campus, 2420 Nicolet Drive.

Meredith Livingston is accompanied by Prof. David Severtson and Prof. Chris Salerno on piano, and alumni singers Kathleen Buttita, soprano, and Kerry Kuplic, baritone.

Assisting in the performance are dancers Marc Kotz, Stephanie Lazzari, Katharine Schrimpf and Audrey Warrington.

Among other songs, the recital features excerpts from “Stabat Mater” by G. B. Pergolesi; “Quattro Liriche” by Elsa Resphigi; Hugo Wolf’s “Selbstgestandis”; George Gershwin’s “The Man I Love”; and “Terzett” and “Come Scoglio” from Mozart’s “Cosi Fan Tutte.”

Both UW-Green Bay alumna performing in the recital hold master’s degrees in vocal performance from UW-Madison.
