Area high school students can learn about fun and innovative ways to apply their math skills during a no-cost educational program June 20-22 at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay.

Math Fun Days 2011 is sponsored by UW-Green Bay’s Department of Natural and Applied Sciences. Students entering grades 10-12, or who have equivalent math background, are welcome to attend.

The program is intended to introduce students to a variety of interesting topics within mathematics, and show them how math can be applied to sciences such as chemistry, physics, geology and biology. It runs from 9:30 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. Monday, June 20 through Wednesday, June 22 on the UW-Green Bay campus.

There is no cost to attend Math Fun Days, but interested students are asked to register by emailing Atife Caglar, associate professor of Natural and Applied Sciences; or Michael McIntire, assistant professor of Natural and Applied Sciences.
