Lambeau Lectures a well-scripted play for UW-Green Bay

About 500 faculty, staff, students, alumni, community members and prospective students and families joined UWGB and the Green Bay Packers for a “TED Talks”-type event at Lambeau Field, Thursday evening, March 3. The event was titled “Lambeau Lectures: An Evening with UW-Green Bay and the Green Bay Packers.” UW-Green Bay Professors Lucy Arendt, Ryan Martin and John Katers gave prospective students and parents an idea of what it is like to hear a lecture from a UWGB faculty member. Packers Director of Player Engagement, Rob Davis, a graduate of UW-Green Bay’s Master’s Program in Applied Leadership for Teaching and Learning, and Eric Craver, Director of External Relations for UWGB’s Office of Outreach and Adult Access, emceed the event. Presentations and video by Craig Benzel, Packers VP of Sales and Business Development, and welcoming comments by UWGB Chancellor Gary Miller and Packers President Mark Murphy, were also part of the program. But the dynamic, inspirational and entertaining presentations by the faculty were the “game winners.” The Office of Outreach and Adult Access planned the event, with help from many departments across campus. UWGB is a Higher Education Partner of the Green Bay Packers.
