Former stagehand now helps on life’s stage

Stacey-Kolze-featureOnce a stylist for national touring productions such as The King and I, Swing and The Sound of Music, Stacey Nellen Kolze ‘98 has traded her life of travel for one that suits her life stage as a new mother.

The former technical theatre major and UW-Green Bay graduate now owns her own business — Nell’s Wigs, located in west Green Bay. Helping people, particularly those undergoing cancer treatment (90 percent of her client base), is a calling as powerful as bright lights and big stars.

Kolze, who is married to UW-Green Bay alumnus, Dean Kolze ’96 also a theatre major, was recently featured in the November issue of YOU magazine.

“When you’re focusing on being well yourself, you don’t want to focus on your hair,” Kolze told the YOU reporter. “My goal is to make you feel comfortable with who you are.

“That’s ultimately who I am—if you’re in need, I’m here for you.”
