The 11-1 Phoenix downed South Dakota Tuesday, Dec. 28. Next up is a 7 p.m. Horizon-League opening game against Detroit on Friday, Dec. 31 followed by a *Noon, Sunday, Jan. 2 game against Wright State (*Note time change because of home Green Bay Packers game). In a pre-season poll of coaches, sports information directors and coaches, the Phoenix was predicted to win its 13th consecutive regular season Horizon League title.
