In the news: Furlong talks veep pick, voter turnout with Fox 11 News

With Wisconsin and much of the nation still abuzz with news that Mitt Romney has selected Janesville’s Paul Ryan as his running mate, our own Scott Furlong weighed in on the choice Monday (Aug. 13) during an interview with WLUK, Fox 11 News. Whether Ryan’s selection will be a game changer for Wisconsin isn’t yet known, Furlong said, but it certainly has raised some eyebrows. “Not only is it someone from Wisconsin,” Furlong told Fox 11’s Kelly Schlicht. “It’s somewhat rare to pick someone from the House of Representatives as your running mate.” Furlong also spoke with reporter Bill Miston about turnout, projected to be low for today’s election. There may be an element of voter fatigue, Furlong said, and also a lack of knowledge about the date of the fall primary. Full stories: click here and here.
