State conference on ‘STEM’ teaching is Aug. 30

Our friends at Wisconsin Campus Compact share notice of a one-day conference scheduled for Monday, Aug. 30, at the two-year campus known affectionately as “Boo U” — the UW-Baraboo/Sauk County. It’s the fourth annual Best Practices in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math Teaching Conference. All persons teaching first- or second-year students in STEM disciplines, whether at a two-year college or four-year university, are welcome to attend. The registration deadline is Friday the 20th. See their website.
