Harris says beach closures down, for now

A report by Lou Hillman from WLUK-TV highlights the low number of beach closures so far this summer. That may soon change, according to Vicky Harris, a water quality specialist with the UW Sea Grant Institute office at UW-Green Bay. That’s because Harris says the bacteria levels in the water are related to rainfall amounts. Since we’ve had more rain in the last few weeks, there could be more beaches closed because of bacteria. Here’s a link to the report.
