On Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2018, UW-Green Bay students had the opportunity to have lunch at Lambeau Field and network with Kohler executive leaders from across the globe. Twenty-six students participated in the mentoring event, and were given the chance to interact with the executives to learn about career pathways, qualities and skills for success and overall thoughts on the global employment and marketplace. Majors represented included Accounting, Business Administration, Data Science, Mechanical Engineering and Integrative Leadership.
The Florentine Opera Company, featuring the Donald and Donna Baumgartner Studio Artists, as a part of the 6:30 Concert Series, will be preforming at the Weidner Center on Tuesday, Oct. 23, 2018. The Florentine Opera Company is Wisconsin’s oldest fully professional performing arts organization and the sixth-oldest opera company in the United States. The company, which is celebrating its eighty-fifth anniversary season, will perform an array of operatic classics. The performance is free but registration is recommended. Global Studies is holding its second Fall 2018 discussion,”Chinese Foreign Policy: Inter-State Bargaining and Signaling Strategy,” on Thursday, Oct. 25, 2018 from 3:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. in the Alumni Room (formerly Room 103) in UW-Green Bay’s University Union. This discussion will be led by Associate Lecturer Yue Zou (Democracy and Justice Studies). This event is free and open to the public.
