A STEM Conference for sixth- to ninth-grade girls will be taking place on Saturday, Nov. 3, 2018 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at UW-Green Bay, Sheboygan Campus. The conference is meant to encourage young girls to consider careers in science, technology, engineering and math. Sheboygan Press has the story.
A free self-defense class will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 17, 2018 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. This class provides self-defense awareness strategies and hands-on instruction in several protective techniques. Participants are involved in simulated training exercises to utilize the new skills they have learned. Participants must sign up by email prior to the event and sign a waiver provided at the time of training, prior to participation. Participants must be 18 years or older and are limited to UW-Green Bay students, faculty or staff. The class is limited to 16 participants.
