International Dinner, April 18


The student International Club will once again be hosting its annual International Dinner — one of UW-Green Bay’s tastiest and most longstanding traditions — on Saturday, April 18. The dinner will showcase food and performances from around the world. The doors open at 5:30 and the performances start at 6 p.m. Tickets are available at the University Ticketing and Information Center, (920) 465-2400. Prices are $8 for students, $17 for non-students, $8 for children ages 8-14, and $5 for those 7 and under.

Students announce menu for International Dinner

Members of the student International Club invite campus and community to the 38th annual International Dinner on Saturday, April 12. Those attending will have a chance to enjoy food and performances from around the globe coordinated and presented by UW-Green Bay’s international students. Dinner will include Egyptian Macaroni Béchamel, Malaysian Vegetable Udon, Indian Naan Bread & Cucumber Salad and Spanish Empanada de Manzana y Crema. The International Club students will offer nearly a dozen different performances of music, dance and more. Doors to the University Union Phoenix Room open at 5:30 p.m. with the dinner starting at 6 p.m., followed by the performances at 6:45. The event is $6.50 for students and $16.50 for the community, faculty and staff. Tickets are available by calling (920) 465-2400, or going to the University Information and Ticketing Center. Only a limited number of tickets will be available after next Wednesday, April 9.

International Club students extend invite to Eid El Adha Dinner

The UWGB International Club invites faculty and staff to attend their first ever Eid El Adha Dinner this Friday (Oct. 18) at 5 p.m. at the Mauthe Center. This is an important religious holiday celebrated by Muslims around the world. The dinner is open to all. The dinner costs $2 for UWGB students and $4 for all others. Space is limited. You’re invited to student club’s annual International Dinner next Saturday

The International Club reminds us that tickets should be purchased now for the annual International Dinner taking place at 5:30 p.m. next Saturday, April 27, in the Union’s Phoenix Room. Members of the community, students, faculty and staff are invited to enjoy flavors from around the globe. Additionally, students from India, Kenya, South Korea, Saudi Arabia, Japan,China, Egypt, the USA and Nepal, among others, will entertain the crowd with talent and fashion show performances. It’s one of the University’s oldest and best student-event traditions. Tickets, available at the Union’s ticket desk, are $16.50 for non-students, $6.50 for students, and $8.25 for children under 12. International Dinner for a Cause

Sponsored by the International Club, the Office of International Education and the Mauthe Center, the fall “International Dinner for a Cause” will offer flavors from around the world. The event at the Mauthe Center is free but donations will be accepted. All proceeds go toward building a well in Africa. The event begins at 5:30 p.m. tonight (Tuesday, Nov. 13).

Students host annual International Dinner this Saturday

Tickets are still available for the 36th annual International Dinner this Saturday evening (April 21) at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay.

The campus and community event is hosted by the student International Club. Members choose the menu and provide recipes for preparation by UW-Green Bay food service. Additionally, international students will entertain the audience with a fashion show and dance styles from England, Northern Ireland, Japan, India, Korea and China, among others.

Dinner will include Malaysian curry, Japanese salad, Egyptian rice, French onion soup and German apfel kuchen for dessert.

Doors to the Phoenix Room, located on the main level of UW-Green Bay’s University Union, will open at 5:30 p.m. with the dinner starting at 6 p.m., followed by the performances at 6:45 p.m.

Tickets should be reserved in advance. They are $16.50 for community members, faculty and staff; $8.50 for UW-Green Bay students; and $5 for children under 10. Tickets may be ordered by calling (920) 465-2400, or visiting the University Information and Ticketing Center in the University Union at UW-Green Bay.
