Nutrition Science graduates for December of 2021 and May 2022 receive 100% match (far exceeding national averages)

This year every Nutrition Science senior applicant (December 2021 and May 2022) earned a match for the Dietician Internship program, and most students were matched to their first-choice program.

The DI is the necessary next step for graduating Nutrition Science students to fulfill 1200 required practicum hours and gain the skills necessary to take the registered dietitian examination. Competition for dietetic internships is fierce, with only 60-70% of national applicants receiving a match each year.  Over the last five years, 64 of 70 (91%) of UW-Green Bay senior applicants have been matched, far exceeding the national average.

Our success is a testament to the dedication of our students, the enthusiastic mentoring provided by faculty and staff, and the quality and rigor of the UW-Green Bay Nutrition and Human Biology programs. “Special thanks to our nutrition science and human biology faculty and staff, Career Services, and Prof. Merkel and Dean Katers for their advocacy and support.”

Please congratulate the following UW-Green Bay Nutrition Science students as they prepare to begin their dietetic internships:
