UW-Green Bay Theatre Studio and Alternate Theatre presents ‘Riot Act’ Dec. 13-15, 2018

GREEN BAY – University of Wisconsin-Green Bay Theatre Studio and Alternate Theatre present “Riot Act” directed by Haley Ebinal, Dec. 13-15, 2018 at 7:30 p.m. in the University Theatre, Theatre Hall on the Green Bay Campus.

Riot Act is a performance piece featuring four monologues by Italian actor, playwright and apolitical activist, Franca Rame, and an original piece devised by the company. Director Haley Ebinal, a senior Theatre and Philosophy double major, chose Riot Act to shed light on society’s objectification of women. Rame’s monologues, written more than 40 years ago, are remarkably relevant today. Ebinal previously directed Boiling People in My Coffee at UW-Green Bay and focuses her work on social action theatre and related community outreach. There will be an optional post-show discussion following each performance for audience members and the cast to discuss the production. Audiences are cautioned that the performance contains mature themes, strong language and potential trigger material. It is recommended for age 18-plus. Doors open at 7:10 p.m.

The cast:

  • Kylie Lynn Heisz, freshman (Business Administration, Theatre Performance) from Gays Mills, Wis.
  • Megan Jones, senior (Education), Iola, Wis.
  • Talor L. Sohr, UW-Green Bay graduate (Musical Theatre), Bonduel, Wis.
  • Nina Stoneham , senior (Theatre Performance), Sturgeon Bay, Wis.
