Early October workshops at UW-Green Bay feature Coaching and “7 Habits”

The Wisconsin Small Business Development Center (SBDC) at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay is offering two-day workshops in early October for small business owners, executive team members, and managers.

“Coaching for Performances” is the Monday through Tuesday, October 5-6 workshop instructed by Bob Pecor of Coaching Forward. The workshop equips supervisors to help their staff consistently meet or exceed expectations and to further focus on long range goals versus today’s firefight.

Franklin Covey’s “7 Habits of Highly Effective Managers” is the following week Monday and Tuesday, October 12-13. Instructed by certified facilitator Kristin Odell, PHR, this workshop will equip managers with leadership skills in first managing themselves, then using effective communication, conflict resolution, and change management skills to let people manage themselves against shared expectations.

Workshops start at 8:30 a.m. and end at 3:30 p.m. at the Advance Business & Manufacturing Center at 2701 Larsen Road in Green Bay and includes lunch, and morning and afternoon refreshments. For more information such as registration deadlines and fees, and to register for the SBDC’s workforce development and certificate programs, go to SBDC “Upcoming Programs.” You can also email or call (920) 496-2117.
