Becker is majoring in Arts Management and carrying a 3.6 grade-point average. She is working toward a minor in Business.

“I’m looking at working in theater management or managing an art gallery or event planning,” said Becker. “This summer I will have an internship at the Schauer Arts & Activities Center in Hartford, working under the director of development.”

Becker isn’t solely focused on the business side of the arts. In her spare time she enjoys painting and crafts and has just purchased a sewing machine. She also works twice a week at NEW Curative, assisting an in-house program for elderly and disabled adults.

As activities director for the local Phi Eta Sigma chapter, Becker has helped organization participation in activities such as the Relay for Life, Jingle Bell Relay and highway cleanups. “In the future we’d like to do some volunteer work at an animal shelter or a soup kitchen.”

The Phi Eta Sigma Endowed Undergraduate Scholarships have been established to honor the founders and distinguished members of the Society. Each year, scholarships are granted to exceptional graduate and undergraduate Phi Eta Sigma members.

Phi Eta Sigma is an honor society that encourages excellence in academics and community service. Recently more than 70 UW-Green Bay students were inducted into the University’s chapter of Phi Eta Sigma.

To qualify for Phi Eta Sigma membership, a student must have a minimum grade-point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale in their first or second semester.

The UW-Green Bay chapter of Phi Eta Sigma is actively engaged in numerous projects and activities promoting academic excellence and campus community service.
