UW-Green Bay Chorale, Concert Choir to perform March 9

GREEN BAY – University of Wisconsin-Green Bay Music Concert Choir and Chorale will take the main stage at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 9 at the Weidner Center for the Performing Arts, 2420 Nicolet Drive.

Under the direction of UW-Green Bay Associate Prof. Randall Meder and Sarah Meredith Livingston, the two choirs will perform music by John Rutter, Ralph Vaughan Williams, Johannes Brahms, Rollo Dilworth, William L. Dawson among others. Nicholas Davis will be a featured guest artist.

Praised for his “knock-em-dead baritone,” Nicholas Davis is making a name for himself in the world of classical music. He became the first American to win first prize in the International Antonín Dvořák singing competition in 2014. Under the direction of Maestro Libor Pešek, the 2015-16 season saw Davis’ international debut in concert with the National Theatre Prague. He is the recipient of many awards including the Lola Fletcher Award by the American Opera Society of Chicago, and can be heard on the “Poets and Patriots,” a two disk collection celebrating the 200-year history of the Star Spangled Banner.
