SBDC offers free monthly webinars for managers, owners

The Wisconsin Small Business Development Center (SBDC) at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay is offering three no-cost webinars this spring on topics of potential interest to busy professionals.

Each session is only 30 minutes in length.

Kicking off the spring/summer 2015 Webinar series is presenter Kevin Donnelly of Aurora Health Care. Donnelly will present “How to Develop (and Profit From) a Culture of Wellness” at noon Tuesday, April 21, and again at 1 p.m. Thursday, April 23. He will highlight how companies are experiencing the benefits of providing worksite wellness opportunities resulting in improved employee morale, reduced absenteeism and reduced health care costs. Donnelly will instruct participants on how to develop, and profit from, a culture of wellness at their worksites.

May’s installment of the series will be presented by Spencer Smith of Spencer X. Smith Consulting at noon Tuesday, May 12 and again at 1 p.m. Thursday, May 14. He will teach participants “How to Establish Yourself as an Expert,” emphasizing the importance of using a business website to educate customers, grow sales and cultivate a reputation as an industry expert.

The final webinar of the series is titled “How to Hire Leaders Who Have it All,” to be presented at noon Tuesday, June 16 and again at 1 p.m. Thursday, June 18. Carrie Schochet of Purple Squirrel Advisors will advise participants on growing a business, expanding executive leadership and rethinking skill sets and experience to help drive and achieve growth within an organization.
