UW-Green Bay’s LGBTQ Resource Center will present an Inclusivity Health Fair event from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday, March 8 and Saturday, March 9 in the University Union on campus, 2420 Nicolet Drive.

The fair will focus on leadership, social justice, education and health in the realm of inclusivity and healthy and safe choices. Friday’s fair, specifically, will focus on giving students, faculty and staff a greater understanding of the health options available at UW-Green Bay. Saturday’s fair will focus on the University’s connection with the community.

The health fair fun begins Friday at 10 a.m. with interactive tables sponsored by vendors, university classes and student groups, as well as games and prizes and more. A one-mile walk in the University concourse (tunnels), along with a scavenger hunt, will begin at 1 p.m. Friday. That evening, there will be a silent auction that will benefit the LGBTQ Scholarship Fund. In addition, a fundraiser dinner buffet benefiting the LGBTQ Resource Center will be served, with a vegetarian option, at 6 p.m. A jazz combo, featuring two University faculty members, Stefan Hall and Adam Gaines, will start the dinner event. A poetry reading by UW-Green Bay student Javaris Bradford will follow. Ending the evening on Friday will be keynote speaker, Mike Fitzpatrick, “GBLT in Wisconsin.” Tickets for the dinner events are $30 and available for purchase at the LGBTQ Resource Center in the University Union.

Saturday’s health fair focus will be on vendors from Wisconsin, and the event will be open to students and the general public. Activities for Saturday include main stage speakers, interactive vendors and workshops. Both days will offer information and interaction on topics including personal defense and safety, drug and alcohol assessments, personal leadership skills, and much more.

If you would like to be a vendor/volunteer, or if you’d like more information, please contact the LGBTQ Resource Center at 920-465-2167.
