SBDC offers business plan program in Brown and Door counties

GREEN BAY — Applications are being accepted for the Entrepreneurial Training Program offered by the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay Small Business Development Center.

The program is designed to help entrepreneurs prepare a business plan for better management or to apply for financing. It will be offered in both Brown and Door counties.

The Entrepreneurship Training Program is a comprehensive series of classes and individual coaching lessons designed to help entrepreneurs refine their business concept and attract financing. The goal is to complete a business plan that new or existing businesses can use to improve business management, apply for financing, or develop new strategic initiatives.

The 10-week program is offered in Sturgeon Bay and Green Bay.

In Sturgeon Bay, the program is co-sponsored with the Door County Economic Development Corporation. The class will meet at the Northeast Wisconsin Technical College campus (229 N. 14th Ave., Sturgeon Bay) from 6-9 p.m. on Monday evenings starting Feb. 2.

In Green Bay, the class will meet from 6-9 p.m. on Tuesday evenings beginning Feb. 3 at the Business Assistance Center (2701 Larsen Road, Green Bay).

The Wisconsin Department of Commerce will provide 75 percent tuition waiver through the Small Business Development Center to qualified candidates prior to starting coursework.
