Fifth chancellor is second with presidential experience

Thomas Harden is the second sitting president to be selected to serve as UW-Green Bay’s chancellor. The all-time roster:

  • Chancellor-designate Thomas Harden,
    currently the president of Clayton State University;
  • Bruce Shepard (2001 through 2008),
    provost and vice president of academic affairs at Eastern Oregon University at the time of his appointment;
  • Mark Perkins (1994- 2001),
    executive vice president for California State University, Stanislaus;
  • David Outcalt (1986-1993)
    chancellor of the University of Alaska, Anchorage for five years;
  • Edward Weidner (1966-1986)
    had only recently been hired by the University of Kentucky as director of the Center for Developmental Change. He had previously served as vice chancellor of the Institute of Advanced Projects at the East-West Center at the University of Hawaii.
