Ishkhanian is witness to history in Egypt

Friends and colleagues of UW-Green Bay Curator of Art Stephen Perkins know that his family is closely monitoring the Facebook posts of his wife, Arda Ishkhanian, who is spending mid-December at her parents’ apartment in Heliopolis, a Cairo suburb. Their apartment is located directly across the street from Egypt’s Presidential Palace, where battles and protests have flared involving supporters and opponents of  President Morsi and the Muslim Brotherhood. As the photos show, the streets around the Palace have now been secured by Egyptian Army forces. Perkins says those interested in seeing more photos are invited to follow Arda on Facebook.
