Packers Project wants your game-day memories — and more

Those who attended UW-Green Bay Day at Lambeau Field may have received an introduction to UW-Green Bay’s Packers Project, a fan-sourced digital collection of stories, memories, photos, “Fanecdotes” (we like that one) — in short, anything and everything pertaining to the present-day Packers as well as teams of yore. The brainchild of Associate Prof. Chuck Rybak and a small group of students, the Packers Project allows anyone to easily contribute and search text, images, audio or video pertaining to the team. The idea is to create a rich and ever-growing repository of memories — a kind of living, crowd-sourced history — pertaining to the most storied franchise in professional sports (and the awesome fan experience connected therewith). In its early days, the project website already houses everything from a childhood photo of Curly Lambeau to Ice Bowl memories and a game-day selfie from just last month. We’ll bring you more on the project at a later date, but for now, check it out — and contribute! — at packersproject.org.
