More than 75 staff, students, alumni and community members made the trip with UW-Green Bay’s first full-fledged float in the Green Bay Holiday Parade, Nov. 17. (In the past, the cheer team and dance squads had represented the University.) Students and student-athletes were crowd pleasers, as was Joe Schoenebeck (UWGB lab technician) who juggled the entire parade route. Said one small parade-goer about the Nordic ski team practice skates, “I don’t know what those are, but I’d like to have them.” Student Life, The Phoenix Bookstore, the Alumni Association and alumni affinity partner Liberty Mutual were key contributors to the float. UWGB’s new Alumni Director Kari Moody was the chief organizer. Check out the photos.
