Marinette Campus to hold free benefit concert, Oct. 26

Rusty Wolfe will perform a free concert to benefit the Future Fund children’s savings accounts established by the M&M Area Community Foundation (MMACF). The Future Fund is designed to encourage hope, build savings, assist with career training/post- secondary education expenses, and increase financial literacy among area youth. The Future Fund provides an automatic $50 savings account to all kindergarten students throughout Marinette and Menominee Counties, starting this school year.

Wolfe is a transplant to Marinette County from Nashville, Tennessee. This concert is near and dear to Wolfe’s heart, as he has become actively engaged in his new community. An accomplished visual artist, his first career was as a singer songwriter. Wolfe has had great success in music with songs recorded by Johnny Cash, Loretta Lynn, Glenn Campbell, Lacy J. Dalton and more.

The concert will be held on Saturday, October 26, 2019 at UW-Green Bay, Marinette Campus, 750 West Bay Shore Street, Marinette. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m. with the concert to begin at 6 p.m. All proceeds from the concert will be directed to the Future Fund endowment to support kindergarten students in the Community Foundation’s two-county service area.

Free tickets are available at the Community Foundation office located at 1110 10th Ave., Suite L-1, Menominee as well as at schools throughout Marinette and Menominee Counties. Tickets are limited to four per person and must be picked up in advance.
