Engineering Tech students find inspiration at Georgia-Pacific

UW-Green Bay Electrical Engineering Technology students led by Assistant Prof. Mohammad Mahfuz took an industry tour to Georgia-Pacific, one of world’s renowned and leading manufacturers of paper, towels, tissues, and many other products, Oct. 7. The student group visited the Georgia-Pacific facilities in Green Bay, to learn more about electrical control systems, supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) systems, and the overall industrial manufacturing process. Georgia-Pacific has more than 200 facilities worldwide and approximately 35,000 employees. Georgia-Pacific is a source of inspiration for the students, according to Mahfuz, and provides great opportunities in the field of engineering technology.
