‘Quick Fix’ blog highlights low-cost UW-Green Bay initiatives

Chancellor Thomas Harden made a point in his semester-opening convocation address of highlighting the “Quick Fix” initiatives. As you’ll recall, the Chancellor solicited suggestions shortly after his arrival in 2009, saying he welcomed small but high-impact ideas for immediate and “doable” projects to better the institution. One year later, the first two dozen “fixes” were summarized in the pages of the convocation booklet. Among them:

•  Student photos added to the SID database

•  Increasing on-campus internship opportunities

•  A campus garden

•  “You Pick the Music Days” for the carillon

•  A new and improved new-freshman welcome

Worth noting is that the “Quick Fix” projects, previously posted to the web, reside today in a blog that is updateable and expandable as still more projects (and there are a few more pending, TBA) are finalized. We’ll keep you posted. In the meantime, you can revisit the full Quick Fix array – click here.
