UW-Green Bay international students introduced to Door County

Last week’s international student orientation week culminated with a trip on Friday, August 31, 2018 to the Door County peninsula. Students from all over the world along with faculty from UW-Green Bay’s Office of International Education loaded on the bus at 9 a.m., with a first stop at Renard’s Cheese. The students got a chance to try Wisconsin cheese curds along with chocolate cheese. The next stop was Cave Point County Park, Sturgeon Bay, where students explored some of the finest landscapes in Wisconsin and had fun taking pictures on the beautiful cliffs. After that, the trip took students to Sister Bay, where they enjoyed lunch (and swimming for some) at a park. At Wilson’s Restaurant & Ice Cream in Ephraim, students got to experience what a “small portion” in the United States truly is. The final stop was Fish Creek, and students enjoyed walking around and shopping in the small boutiques.
