By the numbers: Incoming freshman class is most diverse to date

Tag icon ,

UW-Green Bay will welcome its most diverse freshman class to date this fall, with more than 100 students of color — 12 percent of the class — set to start classes Tuesday (Sept. 4). We’ll have a total of 897 freshmen this fall, including 104 students of color — the first time ever our freshman class will contain more than 100 students of color. More than 700 of those students will move into their residence hall homes Thursday (Aug. 30), part of a record 2,050 students set to live on campus. The new freshman class is 69 percent female and 31 percent male, and its students hail from 64 Wisconsin counties, nine other states and several other countries. A special thanks to the Office of Institutional Research and Assessment for crunching the numbers.
