Board of Regents approves plan, budget request

The UW Board of Regents approved today (August 19, 2016) UW System’s 2020 Strategic Framework and also the 2017-19 Biennial Budget Request to Fund the 2020FWD Initiatives. UW System President Ray Cross told the board the framework is designed to provide strategic direction for the UW System in four key areas:  the educational pipeline, the university experience, business and community mobilization, and operational excellence. The initiatives will help keep college affordable for Wisconsin families, develop the workforce the state will need in the future, reinvigorate the state’s economy, and enhance the lives of the people of Wisconsin. Chancellor Miller and others to meet with key leaders in weeks ahead

UW-Green Bay Chancellor Gary L. Miller says he and his leadership team will meet with key community leaders in the coming weeks to answer questions and get input on the UW System budget plan. “We look forward to a rich discussion in our region about the importance of investing in higher education in Wisconsin. At UW-Green Bay we are committed to being an important and value-adding partner in this region,” Chancellor Miller said.
