Friends and colleagues welcome to celebration of life for Dr. Herbert Sandmire

Longtime UW-Green Bay supporter Dr. Herbert F. Sandmire passed away on February 24,2018 at home in Green Bay. A Log post at the time summarized his decades-long advocacy for the University. In honor of Dr. Sandmire’s request there was no formal funeral service. A celebration of life is being held Sunday, August 12 at Heritage Hill Visitor’s Center at 2640 South Webster Avenue, Green Bay. An RSVP for the luncheon is requested. According to the Green Bay Press-Gazette, “starting at noon (and until 2:30) family, friends, neighbors, colleagues and all who wish to honor Herb are invited to attend. There will be time to greet the family. About 1 p.m. a buffet luncheon will be ready. During and after the luncheon there will be an opportunity for all to share memories of Herb’s life and stories of what he meant to you as family, friend, neighbor, physician or colleague. If you are able to have lunch with us please RSVP no later than July 27 to cryslcond@aol.com or 920-336-8684, giving your name and number of persons in your party.”
