‘Red Sky at Morning’ will be Common Theme reading

Note to those of you who want to get a jump on the 2009-10 Campus Common Theme: Red Sky At Morning: America and the Crisis of the Global Environment, by James Gustave Speth, is the common reading selected for fall. The book is expected to be used in a number of classes, book talks and blog discussions. The subject material follows the announcement that “Realizing our Sustainable Future,” proposed by Kevin Fermanich and John Stoll, is the Campus Common Theme for the year. A list of related speakers, plays, projects performances and discussions related to the theme will be available in late summer or early fall.
